Method and structure of the PER course
If you want to approve the PER exam in Catalonia or in another Community, we can help you! In vídeo streaming en directo classes and tutorials, an instructor will guide you so that you can easily assimilate and understand the syllabus and thus be able to pass the exam on the first try.
Among the theoretical course modalities you will find the one that suits your schedule and preferences.
- If you go calmly or your schedules are complicated, the course Online at your pace is for you.
- If you prefer to attend a structured course in person, with 8 classes for a month, your option is the In person during the week.
- If during the week it is complicated for you, choose the course Present weekend.
- Don't want to travel to come to classes? You can do the course Online during the week either weekend.
In all modalities, vídeo streaming en directo tutorials are included to resolve doubts.
You can come to Port Olímpic to do your practices any week of the year, before or after the exam.
Exam
In 2025, eight in-person PER exams will be held in Catalonia.

Additional Information
- The exam is usually done on a weekend, in a public institute.
- A few days before each call, the provisional list of admitted students is published.
- You choose the call, but until the list is published you will not know the place, day and time that you must take the exam.
- The final list of those admitted will be published before 12 noon the day before the test.
- In the exam, only the theoretical contents are evaluated, the practices are evaluated by the school.
- If you delegate your registration for the exam to EscolaPort, we will do the procedures, follow-up, incident management and you will receive by email: reminders, solution template, list of admitted students and results.
The fee is valid for one exam, if you fail or do not show up, to take another exam you will have to register again and pay the fee again.
In the event that you pass only the GNP part, you have the right to sit the complementary test in the following two calls. The procedure and the amount will be the same, at the time of taking the test you must indicate which block you are applying for.

Qualification
If you have passed the exam and completed the practices, you will be able to issue your PER title.
Term
You have a maximum of 24 months to issue the title, counted from the date you pass the exam or complete the practices (whichever you did first).
Documentation
- Valid ID, residence card or passport.
- Receipt of payment of the corresponding fee.
- Nautical Medical Certificate carried out in Driver Recognition Centers (CRC).
- It is not necessary if less than 2 years have passed since the date of issue of a previous title.
- If you carry out the procedure on your own, the medical certificate must be provided in digital format through the application for the issuance of certificates of nautica.gencat.cat
- If you delegate the issuance process to EscolaPort, you must present the original document to the school.

It has been a wonderful weekend of practices. The Bavaria 50 boat is very spacious and even with 11 students + the teacher, we have had enough space for everything and everyone. On the other hand, with light winds the boat has sailed very fast. The internship group has been fabulous, despite not all of us knowing each other. A friendly atmosphere has been created and we have all collaborated in the guards, maneuvers, use of the sextant... even, voluntarily, in scrubbing the pots!!!! The teacher has taken us to Mallorca and back to Barcelona without mishaps or damage to people. Thanks Raul!!! It has resolved our doubts, it has given us confidence when the wind has risen, and we have all laughed a lot together. I cannot compare the school and the facilities with others, because it is the first time I go to the nautical school. But the organization of the courses seems very good to me and the level of teaching seems rather high and more than enough to pass if we study.

The theoretical intensive is very good to prepare for the exam. Raul makes the classes very entertaining and despite being many hours in a row, they are very enjoyable. In any case, since there is a lot of content in a short time, I would recommend doing it well in advance of the exam so that you can then study and establish knowledge. Or attend the intensive having worked on the different topics independently beforehand, this way you get the most out of it and helps you establish concepts for the exam.
