On the Navigation License course, you'll learn to navigate safely in a fast-paced and entertaining course. Earn your "Titulín" at the Port Olímpic in Barcelona.

Course method and structure Weekday navigation license

In the 2 hours of theoretical class and 4 hours of practice, during the week, your instructor will help you understand and assimilate the fundamentals of safe navigation and the regulations.

In the Navigation License course you will learn

Basic notions of navigation.
Passage preferences between vessels.
Interpret the maritime buoyage.
Make essential knots.
Collision prevention rules.
How to dock and undock.
Choose a good place to anchor.
Basic notions of radio communications.
How to act in emergencies.

Navigation License Requirements

Be 16 years or older.
DNI, NIE or valid passport.
Complete 4 hours of practice, on a weekday.
Complete 2 hours of theoretical class (before or after the practices).
Nautical Medical Certificate.

Expedition

Once the course is completed, you must send us a digital copy of both sides of your medical certificate and in 15 days you can come and pick up your Navigation License.

Your NL does not expire, just in case you lose it or it deteriorates, you can request a duplicate from the school.

Nando has been a very good instructor, at all times he has cared about us and so that we understood things. We had a problem with a hook that got stuck in the engine and at all times he was concerned about us and the well-being of the boat (he did not want to force it). When he arrived he got a couple of totally undeserved shouts from a superior, in my opinion you should continue betting a lot on him, he's worth a lot! Everything and so, totally recommended!!

We have had a lot of fun learning to navigate, anchor, rescue a man overboard, learning to tie very necessary sailor knots, the course teaches the basics of going out sailing and solving the small difficulties that we may encounter.
