Your sailing initiation course includes:

Method and structure of the Basic Sailing Course

The course is mainly practical. On board a J/80 sailboat, for three hours, an instructor will explain the fundamentals of sailing and the most important aspects of safety when sailing.

Before coming to Port Olímpic to complete the course, you must review some theoretical aspects on our online course platform.

Agenda of the basic sailing course

Theory:

  • Nautical nomenclature.
  • Ropes and basic knots.
  • Hoist and lower sails.
  • Fundamentals of sailing.

  • Weather forecast.
  • Recognition of the parts of the ship.
  • Safety and checks before going out to sea.

How do I prepare to do the Basic Sailing Course?

  4. Wear comfortable clothing adapted to the party.
  5. Arrive well in advance before departure.
