Method and structure of the PER course
If you want to approve the PER exam in Catalonia or in another Community, we can help you! In vídeo streaming en directo classes and tutorials, an instructor will guide you so that you can easily assimilate and understand the syllabus and thus be able to pass the exam on the first try.
Among the theoretical course modalities you will find the one that suits your schedule and preferences.
- If you go calmly or your schedules are complicated, the course Online at your pace is for you.
- If you prefer to attend a structured course in person, with 8 classes for a month, your option is the In person during the week.
- If during the week it is complicated for you, choose the course Present weekend.
- Don't want to travel to come to classes? You can do the course Online during the week either weekend.
In all modalities, vídeo streaming en directo tutorials are included to resolve doubts.
You can come to Port Olímpic to do your practices any week of the year, before or after the exam.
Exam
In 2025, eight in-person PER exams will be held in Catalonia.

Additional Information
- The exam is usually done on a weekend, in a public institute.
- A few days before each call, the provisional list of admitted students is published.
- You choose the call, but until the list is published you will not know the place, day and time that you must take the exam.
- The final list of those admitted will be published before 12 noon the day before the test.
- In the exam, only the theoretical contents are evaluated, the practices are evaluated by the school.
- If you delegate your registration for the exam to EscolaPort, we will do the procedures, follow-up, incident management and you will receive by email: reminders, solution template, list of admitted students and results.
The fee is valid for one exam, if you fail or do not show up, to take another exam you will have to register again and pay the fee again.
In the event that you pass only the GNP part, you have the right to sit the complementary test in the following two calls. The procedure and the amount will be the same, at the time of taking the test you must indicate which block you are applying for.

Qualification
If you have passed the exam and completed the practices, you will be able to issue your PER title.
Term
You have a maximum of 24 months to issue the title, counted from the date you pass the exam or complete the practices (whichever you did first).
Documentation
- Valid ID, residence card or passport.
- Receipt of payment of the corresponding fee.
- Nautical Medical Certificate carried out in Driver Recognition Centers (CRC).
- It is not necessary if less than 2 years have passed since the date of issue of a previous title.
- If you carry out the procedure on your own, the medical certificate must be provided in digital format through the application for the issuance of certificates of nautica.gencat.cat
- If you delegate the issuance process to EscolaPort, you must present the original document to the school.

The experience of sailing practices together with the crossing to Mallorca has been spectacular! It's my first time sailing and I loved it. The organization is good, the boat is in very good condition. Regarding Raul Serrano, this is a separate case: I have received instruction in many areas, skydiving, diving, kick boxing, wind tunnel, in short, various experiences and I can say that it has been a luxury to meet Raul as an instructor. It is very noticeable that he has a very extensive and detailed knowledge of the marine world, apart from the experience he accumulates, but the best of all is his willingness to teach, to expand the information and to transmit it in a clear and adapted way to each of the participants. Achieving these three capabilities (technical knowledge, experience and aptitude for teaching) is tremendously difficult. Take care of it because it is undoubtedly a very important part of the school. As a criticism and of course with a constructive spirit, 10 people to do this practice are too many (as well as the engine ones) since it is not enough for us to operate everything that I consider necessary to come out of this fully prepared. And as a result of this, as a suggestion, you could complement for anyone who wants to continue acquiring knowledge and, above all, practice before going out to sea alone, you could organize one-day "post-course" outings along the coast of Barcelona, to continue consolidating knowledge. This is all friends, thank you very much for everything. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

It has been my first journey and I hope it will not be the last. It is a great experience, where you learn to navigate both by motor and sail and to share with your companions, you enjoy those moments of silence observing the sea, the sails, the stars and looking around the sides of the boat to see a dolphin. The teacher exclusively brought us a survival suit, which he let us try, it was something new for us. He was very attentive at all times, helping us with questions and testing us to gain experience. The most fun thing was seeing a defense drifting, and when we all saw it the professor said - man overboard maneuver, we quickly jibed, prepared a boat hook and got it the first time. Without a doubt, an experience to repeat again.
