Course method and structure Weekday navigation license

In the 2 hours of theoretical class and 4 hours of practice, during the week, your instructor will help you understand and assimilate the fundamentals of safe navigation and the regulations.

In the Navigation License course you will learn

Basic notions of navigation.
Passage preferences between vessels.
Interpret the maritime buoyage.
Make essential knots.
Collision prevention rules.
How to dock and undock.
Choose a good place to anchor.
Basic notions of radio communications.
How to act in emergencies.

Navigation License Requirements

Be 16 years or older.
DNI, NIE or valid passport.
Complete 4 hours of practice, on a weekday.
Complete 2 hours of theoretical class (before or after the practices).
Nautical Medical Certificate.

Once the course is completed, you must send us a digital copy of both sides of your medical certificate and in 15 days you can come and pick up your Navigation License.

Your NL does not expire, just in case you lose it or it deteriorates, you can request a duplicate from the school.

Completion of the course (theoretical part and practical part) was satisfactory at an instructional level. On a theoretical level, the bases to take into account when starting to navigate are explained, but it is in the practical part where this small base can be applied and is required. My opinion regarding the school and facilities is that they are well organized and have all the elements needed to carry out both theoretical and practical classes. Regarding the teacher, he made both the explanation of theory and the carrying out of the practices very enjoyable; He made sure that the entire group acquired the necessary knowledge and put it into practice by having each of the students take the boat and perform the different maneuvers to learn. The group atmosphere was very good. There was cooperation from all members. The boat used was in perfect condition and was equipped with all the utensils necessary for its use.
