On the Navigation License course, you'll learn to navigate safely in a fast-paced and entertaining course. Earn your "Titulín" at the Port Olímpic in Barcelona.

Course method and structure Weekday navigation license

In the 2 hours of theoretical class and 4 hours of practice, during the week, your instructor will help you understand and assimilate the fundamentals of safe navigation and the regulations.

In the Navigation License course you will learn

Basic notions of navigation.
Passage preferences between vessels.
Interpret the maritime buoyage.
Make essential knots.
Collision prevention rules.
How to dock and undock.
Choose a good place to anchor.
Basic notions of radio communications.
How to act in emergencies.

Navigation License Requirements

Be 16 years or older.
DNI, NIE or valid passport.
Complete 4 hours of practice, on a weekday.
Complete 2 hours of theoretical class (before or after the practices).
Nautical Medical Certificate.

Expedition

Once the course is completed, you must send us a digital copy of both sides of your medical certificate and in 15 days you can come and pick up your Navigation License.

Your NL does not expire, just in case you lose it or it deteriorates, you can request a duplicate from the school.

Excellent. Theory class was informative, well-delivered with interesting snippets of real life experiences and a dose of humor. Both the booklet and the presentation on interactive TV screen made it easy for participants to understand the various concepts. Similarly, the practical class was also done professionally while at the same time putting us at ease with the maneuvers required while at sea. Very positive. The instructor (Ruben), very good, a very accurate compendium between theory and practice. As for the theoretical training, the instructor was very good but we met with a group that was quite annoying for both the instructor and the rest of the students.
