PNB sailing practices include:
- 16 hours of practices in Port Olímpic.
- Insurance, VAT 21 %.
Method and structure of PNB sailing practices
The PNB sailing practices are carried out every month of the year in the Port Olímpic of Barcelona, aboard one of our sailboats of up to 15 meters in length.
The practice sessions are carried out on a voyage basis with a rest stop every 4 hours.
You can do them during the week on four consecutive days, with 4 hours of practice each day, or on a weekend, with 8 hours of practice each day.
You will do the sailing practices only once, since they are valid for any of the titles, that is, if you later get the PER title, this title will be enabled for sailing.
Agenda of the PNB navigation practices
The objective of the practices is that you identify what are the safety guidelines on board and that you are able to avoid risks during sailing. Special emphasis will be placed on tacking and jibing maneuvers, since during these there is a greater risk of accidents and breakdowns.
During the 16 hours of internship you will learn:
- Courses of the boat depending on the wind and maneuvers.
- Boat elements related to sailing: rigging, rigging, sails... and the most common knots.
- How sails are folded and cared for.
- How to hoist and lower the sails.
- How sail balance influences gait.
- How the boat reacts when you put the rudder to one side or another and its effect on speed reduction.
- Adjust sails depending on the course and the use of the ropes.
- How to take the waves depending on the course and its influence on the progress of the boat.
- How to carry out advanced maneuvers under sail: tackling, pairing, anchoring, leaving the anchorage under sail and safety maneuvers such as collecting man overboard, putting reefs, etc.
Mark –
Very good instructors, all with great nautical CV. All of them very collaborative, close and great professionals with a great desire to transmit.
Carlos –
Excellent. I thought it would be just another procedure to get the license but I have learned much more than I expected. A ten for Javier. He knows and transmits what he knows.
Robert –
Both Jesús, the doctor and Román are all crackers. Thank you
Joaquim Soler –
All instructors are super professional, with experience in many fields of navigation. A thousand thanks to them and to Escola Port.
Emiliano –
The practices are good, and the person who gave it to us, the Doctor, knows a lot. But honestly it is very poorly thought out and organized. In motor practices, being 10/12 people does not bother and is carried away. In sailing, they should not allow more than 6 people, since it makes the experience bad and you don't get to learn or practice much.
Manel Fradera –
Very good experience. The most professional that can be found today in any social field, far beyond the world of nautical: the telephone service, the teachers, the instructor, the fleet, it really has been an experience of 10. It is comforting to see that there are still organizations that look beyond economic and business interests. Thank you!
Miguel Angel Irigoyen –
Everything is great. Concepts, implementation, errors and corrections. The practices are to learn how to really handle a sailboat.
Enrique –
The practices have been developed without any problems. The boat and the instructor were fantastic.
Agus –
Brilliant! We were lucky to have three different teachers (Doctor, Jesús and Charlie) and a 10 for each of them. They are motivated and you can see their enthusiasm for the sea and their desire to teach. The organization and communication on the part of the school is also very good 🙂
Joan Carles Follana Ruiz –
All very well ???? I am very happy, I would recommend the school to anyone, it has been worth it for me to come to Barcelona.
