What does the course price include?

The base price includes: - Theoretical training in preparation for the exam. - Mandatory safety and navigation practices, and radio communications training. - Access to the virtual classroom. In addition, you can add complementary sailing practices.

What is the price of the PNB examination fee?

€64.10 is the fee that must be paid to register for an examination session.

When and where is the exam done?

In 2024 in Catalonia there will be 9 PNB in-person exams, one each month, except in January, August and October. It usually takes place on a weekend, at a public institute. See PNB exam dates

How do I sign up for the exam?

Registration for the exam is individual and voluntary. You can sign up directly from the Generalitat de Catalunya website (or the CCAA of your choice), or you can delegate your registration to EscolaPort.

When should I sign up for the exam?

At any time, you just have to keep in mind that registration closes about 20 days before the exam.

What else should I keep in mind about the exam?

- A provisional list of those admitted is published a few days before each call for applications. - You choose the session, but until the list is published you will not know the place, day and time when you must take the exam. - The final list of admitted candidates will be published before 12 noon the day before the test. - Only theoretical content is assessed in the exam, the practical content is assessed by the school. - It is very important that the identification document with which you register for the exam is the same one that the school uses to register for the practice sessions.

When can I process my degree?

You can complete the process of obtaining the degree once you have completed all the practical work and obtained a PASS in the exam.

What do I need to process the title?

Pay the issuing fee (€64.10) and provide a nautical medical certificate.

Where is the procedure done?

In Catalonia, the issuance of the title is very easy and online from the website nautica.gencat.cat.

Your certificate will be a PDF document with a barcode and QR code that you will download from your personal space on the Generalitat de Catalunya website. You can save it on your mobile phone and we recommend that you carry a printed copy with you. There are no provisional titles, only definitive ones, which are valid for 10 years. The title, with your personal details and attributions, will be written in Spanish, Catalan and English.

What else should I know about the title process?

- The internships you have completed are recorded in your file in the computer system of the Generalitat de Catalunya. - If you take the exam in another autonomous community, you will process the qualification there; to do so, you must request a certificate of practice.

Molt values i completes. The professor, Marc Tarré, molt bo. The second day we will have a real experience (not prepared in practice) in which Marc will demonstrate his professionalism and training, to save a Spanish catamaran against the trencaonades of the Port Fòrum. It will be a very rewarding and profitable experience. Pensant ja en fer el PER.
But it would be great for me to be able to have another day of practice to gain more experience because I know that everything is not possible.
