Port pattern – STCW A-II/3 · DGMM
Theoretical and practical training course for the professional nautical qualification of Port Skipper that prepares the student in planning and directing a coastal journey and determining the situation safely. Perform a safe navigation watch. Control the operation of the ship and the care of the people on board, with which you will be able to act as skipper of merchant ships with a gross tonnage of no more than 100 GT that sail up to 3 miles from a port and that carry a maximum of 150 passengers.
To obtain the final title, the following requirements must be met:
- Have specialty certificates: Basic Safety Training and Initial Specific Health Training .
- Have the title and professional card GMDSS Restricted Operator.
- Demonstrate 12 months of enrollment in bridge and machines once the Harbor Skipper course is finished.
- Have the specialty certificate Passenger Ships if you want expand to 150 passengers on board, otherwise it will be limited to 12.
The training is given in Spanish.
